What is the meaning of ex Vivo gene therapy? Is there anything called in Vivo gene therapy?

In ex vivo the cells are treated outside the body.
in vivo, means interior (where genes are changed in cells still in the body). This form of gene therapy is called in vivo, because the gene is transferred to cells inside the patient's body.

Ex-vivo and in-vitro are both done outside the animal models
. However ex-vivo method involves removing an organ/cell from the body, maintaining the same physiological conditions and replacing the organ/cell in the body after the experimentation.
the major difference is that exvivo involvle th use of tissues where as
in vitro use of artificial medias which resemble the biological fluids
