  • Which of following will form zwitterion
    Anniline
    Glycine
    Answer is not mentioned

  • @urvashi

A zwitterion has to have positive-forming (e.g. amino) and negative-forming (e.g. carboxyl) groups.

Acetanilide- has an amide group, which can form a positive group if protonated, but no carboxyl group means it isn’t a zwitterion.
Aniline- amino group, but again no carboxyl group.

Glycine- has a carboxyl and an amino group, so can form a zwitterion.
Glycine is also one of the amino acids synthesised in the body, and all amino acids can form zwitterions.

    HOPE YOU GOT IT.
