    Ans a by taking average but why we should take average??



  • @Ishitta-U this is because the stability varies...on breaking the first oh bond it will be very difficult to break the 2nd oh bond....so more energy will be required to break the 2nd oh bond... since the bond dissociation energy of both the bonds is not the same an average value is taken...same think is applicable for other molecules too...for eg CH4...here too all the bond energies wont be same..again you'll have to take their average.
