Differentiate between aerenchyma and chlorenchyma
Aerenchyma is spongy tissue with large air spaces found between the cells of the stems and leaves of aquatic plants.
This type of tissue is mainly found in AQUATIC PLANTS. Aerenchyma are Special type of Parenchyma cells . They form a Network with Wide Air Spaces for Gaseous Exchange , That also make the plant Bodies Light and Buoyant , Enabling Them to float on Water .
Chlorenchyma consists ofparenchyma cells that contain chloroplasts and forming the basic green tissue of plant leaves and stems.
chlorenchyma , apart from filling bulk space, performs an additional task of photosynthesis.
